Dear Friends of the Western Association of Illinois Conference of the United Church of Christ:

We, the people of the Stark Congregational United Church of Christ, respectfully invite all interested persons close and far away to come a celebrate the conclusion of a legacy.

On the 12th day of May in 2018 year of our Creator at the 2 o’clock hour when the sun is high in the prairie sky, we warmly invite you, and any companion(s) you choose to bring along to conclude our ministry in our old church building, and have one last worship service together.

Keep in mind, as it’s been our way, modern conveniences have not been a priority. Love and hard work have been. We are happy to share a bottle of clear spring water or two and are still proud to have a “single-seat private room out back” if needs come your way.

There will be a knick-knack table of memorabilia for folks to take what they want. If people would like to make a donation, the church will accept donations noting that any monetary assets will go to “Our Church’s Wider Mission” (OCWM).

We know that God has “yet more light and truth to share” and this will not conclude our ministries. It is just the ending of one chapter called Stark Congregational UCC.

From the North on IL 40 – Turn Right onto South Valley Road towards Speer, IL (Speer will come up on Google). Go about 6 miles and the church is on the Right.

From the North on IL 91 – Turn Left onto South Valley Road towards Speer, IL. Go .4 miles, the Church is on the Left.

From the South on IL 40 – Turn Left onto South Valley Road towards Speer, IL. Go for about 6 miles. The church is on the Right.

From the South on IL 91 – Turn Right onto South Valley Road towards Speer, IL. Go .4 miles the church is on the Left.
